In 1977 his mother-in-law asked, “Why don’t we have Heritage Day in Easton every year?” in a letter to the editor published in The Easton Express, and Scott has portrayed her ancestor, Col. Peter Kichline, at Heritage Day since 2013.
He is a guitar player, hunter, gardener and outdoorsman.
He has been happily married to Rebecca Price Janney for forty-two years.
She’s the author of twenty-eight books including her award-winning Easton Series.
Their 21-year-old son is a graduate of Wilson Area High School and is a senior at Northampton County College.
They have a tri-color spaniel, named Perry.
He voted for a Democrat when he turned 18, but saw that party lose its way and now:
grows big government at irresponsible, unsustainable rates
increases taxes and makes it hard for young people start careers and families or buy homes
games the election process, bloating voter rolls and eliminating paper ballots
invited and facilitated an invasion of criminal illegal aliens
promotes men in women’s sports and in girl’s locker rooms
censers political speech and arrests Christians for praying
spends our tax dollars to promote abortions for any cause through birth, even afterwards
tells parents that they have no business in the education of their children
In 2024, his team of volunteers helped all six Republican State and National candidates win their races in the Wilson Area
He is for a better tomorrow and against the big government, high taxes, unsecure elections, no borders, LBGTQ+, censorship, abortions through 9-months+ for any reason, and children belong to the State Agenda.
